MUSTARD SEED GARDEN

"Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your rightiousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God."(2 Cor 9:10-12)

WHY A GARDEN?

We can learn so much from the garden. Time began in a garden. The Lord uses it metaphorically to describe and teach us about the human heart as soil, the seed as the Word of God, and the weeds, thorns and thistles as evil intruders who will continually attempt to destroy the seed from ever producing in our own lives.

The garden is etched in our hearts, imprinted on our very souls, and the passion and discipline gardening requires builds and reinforces strong life lessons of sowing and reaping. A garden requires the constant disciplines of hard work and patience as the soil must first be prepared, the seed then carefully planted, then the constant work of watering and weeding through the growing season and finally the excitement and joy the garden brings as we harvest the fruits of our labors.

“Again he said, what shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade”. (Mark 4:30-32)

“I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you”. (Matthew 17:20)

We invite all to come and garden with us, experienced or not. We believe that together with passion, commitment, hard-work, and faithful tending we will reap an amazing harvest of great produce. But, even more importantly, we will share lessons in Christ, and enjoy friendships, and fellowship that will last for eternity.

Blessings,
